Works in progress: trains resume between Grumo and Gravina from August 3. Service remains suspended until August 30 between Bari Centrale and Grumo

“The journey resumes.” From Monday, August 3, as previously announced, railway service will be reactivated between Grumo Appula and Gravina. Service will remain suspended until August 30 (as scheduled) between Bari Centrale and Grumo Appula for the continuation of extraordinary maintenance and infrastructure enhancement works and for the implementation of interventions related to the underground construction of the second track in Modugno. Until August 30, a replacement bus service will operate between Bari and Grumo Appula. Buses departing from Bari Centrale for Grumo Appula will follow the scheduled train times, with a departure 15 minutes earlier. Direct trains no. 12 Matera Sud–Bari at 7:45 AM and no. 47 Bari–Matera Sud at 6:55 PM will be canceled on the entire route and replaced with buses, with no changes to departure times. Furthermore, in order to facilitate passenger mobility, and considering the significant tourist traffic on the Bari – Matera route, additional direct buses have been scheduled that will depart from Bari and reach Matera (and vice versa) without making intermediate stops. The Company apologizes for the inconvenience and invites passengers to consult the notices, schedules and arrival and departure stops of the replacement buses which, due to city traffic requirements, do not always coincide with the areas outside the FAL railway stations. This is the case, for example, of Bari Centrale where buses will depart from and terminate at the FS Bus Terminal (via Capruzzi) and Toritto, where they will pass through Via Pugliese. Information and schedules of replacement services on the website https://ferrovieappulolucane.it/, on the company Facebook page, on the FAL APP, by calling the toll-free number 800 050 500 and at the stations, also by scanning the QR code on the information posters.
