USB Puglia strike on July 10, 2026

PURSUANT TO ART. 9 OF THE PROVISIONAL REGULATION ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 18/138 OF 23.4.2018 BY THE GUARANTEE COMMISSION
Please be advised that the USB (Unione Sindacale di Base) trade union of PUGLIA has announced its participation in the Puglia regional general strike on Friday, JULY 10, 2026. The strike will last 24 (twenty-four) hours, covering the entire working day for all public and private categories, as proclaimed by the aforementioned union on June 17, 2026, and reformulated on June 23, 2026.
The strike has been called for the following reasons:
– the Puglia Region is preparing to launch an economic rebalancing maneuver for the regional healthcare system (referring to the 2025 financial year) aimed at ensuring the sustainability of the regional healthcare system and the continuity of services to citizens;
– a significant part of this “rebalancing” will be covered by a fiscal maneuver involving an increase in the regional IRPEF rate;
– to date, the Puglia Region has not initiated any consultation with social partners.
Please note that the participation rates recorded by the aforementioned trade union during the last strike were:
• Puglia 7.63%.
All services will nonetheless be guaranteed during the protected time slots, namely from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM and from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, the schedules for which are indicated in the attached prospectus, along with the trade union bulletins.
Service will resume regularly at the end of the strike
