Dear passengers, please be informed that from 5 May to 10 September 2025, train service on the Matera – Altamuraroute will be temporarily suspended and replaced by bus services, which will stop at the following locations:

• Matera Sud (departure/arrival terminus, Via della Quercia)

  • Outbound from Matera: stop at Via delle Nazioni Unite

  • Inbound to Matera: stop at Via A. Moro Matera Centrale:

• Matera Villa Longo (Via Nazionale, FAL station forecourt)

• Altamura (departure/arrival terminus, FAL station forecourt)

The reverse route applies to Altamura – Matera Sud services.

Additional Replacements by Bus for Cancelled Trains

The following trains will be cancelled and replaced by buses:

• Train no. 12 (Matera Sud – Bari Centrale, originally at 07:45, rescheduled to 07:30)

• Train no. 47 (Bari Centrale – Matera Sud, 18:55)

Replacement buses will stop at:

• Matera Sud (Via della Quercia)

• Matera Centrale (Via delle Nazioni Unite / Via A. Moro)

• Matera Villa Longo (Via Nazionale, FAL station forecourt)

• Altamura (FAL station forecourt)

• Toritto (Via G.A. Pugliese, no. 267 / 314)

• Bari Scalo (Viale Pasteur, AMTAB stop)

• Bari Centrale:

  • Viale Orazio Flacco (no. 6 – Policlinico)

  • Via Capruzzi

  • Corso Italia (FAL station, departure/arrival terminus)

The reverse route will be followed by buses from Bari to Matera Sud.

Metropolitan Train Service

The local metro service between Venusio and Matera Sud will run as scheduled.

Important Notice – Bicycles

Only folding bicycles are allowed on board buses, and must be carried in a suitable bag not exceeding the dimensions 70 x 50 x 30 cm.
