Rail traffic interruption on the Potenza Santa Maria – Avigliano Città route

Please be informed that, from 31 March to 10 May 2025, due to extraordinary maintenance works by RFI on the Avigliano Lucania – Potenza S. Maria railway section, all FAL trains between Potenza Terminal Gallitello and Avigliano Città (and vice versa) will be cancelled and replaced with bus services.

Passengers affected are advised to use the replacement bus services according to the attached timetables.

Please note:

• Passengers departing from Potenza or Genzano and travelling towards Tiera, Avigliano Lucania, and Moccaro must use the bus service operating on the Potenza – Genzano line, connecting at Tiera with the shuttle bus to Avigliano Lucania – Moccaro and Avigliano Città, operated on behalf of FAL by Petruzzi.
• Similarly, passengers departing from Avigliano Città towards Moccaro, Avigliano Lucania, and Tiera can also use the aforementioned shuttle service operated by Petruzzi on behalf of FAL.

The school transport service from Avigliano Lucania to Potenza (and vice versa) will be provided by a dedicated bus departing from Avigliano Lucania at 7:30 am, returning from Potenza Inf. Scalo at 1:02 pm, reaching Tiera at 1:40 pm and Avigliano Lucania at 1:45 pm.

Trains on the metropolitan railway line between Potenza Terminal Gallitello and Potenza Santa Maria (and vice versa) will continue operating as specified in the detailed attached timetable.
