Pursuant to Article 9 of the Provisional Regulation Adopted by Resolution No. 18/138 of April 23, 2018, of the Guarantee Commission
Please be advised that the confederal trade unions FILT-CGIL, FIT-CISL, UILTRASPORTI, FAISA-CISAL, and UGL AUTOFERRO in Basilicata and Puglia have joined the national 24-hour strike scheduled for Friday, November 8, 2024. This strike will be conducted without observing the usual service guarantee time slots and in accordance with Article 16 of the National Agreement of February 28, 2018, as recognized by Resolution No. 18/95 of March 16, 2018, from the Guarantee Commission. All employees of companies governed by the Autoferrotranvieri Internavigatori (Mobility TPL) National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) are eligible to participate, in compliance with and pursuant to Law 146/90, as amended by Law No. 83 of 2000 and subsequent amendments.
The national strike has been called for the following reasons:
- Interruption of negotiations for the renewal of the category’s National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL), which expired on December 31, 2023, along with the unsuccessful outcome of the legally required cooling-off and conciliation procedures;
- The unions report unacceptable positions by employer associations regarding issues raised by sector workers, including: Deterioration in working conditions and wages; Persistent staffing shortages within companies; Increasing physical and verbal assaults against front-line workers; Chronic difficulty in recruiting new drivers and other skilled personnel; The risk of reduced services and the inability to provide adequate public transportation.
These issues jeopardize both the survival and the broader interests of the sector.
Data on strike participation in the last strike held by the above-mentioned unions indicated the following participation rates: Puglia 15.79% – Basilicata 35.24%.
- It should be noted, in compliance with Resolutions No. 18/138 of April 23, 2018 (Art. 16), No. 02/183 of November 20, 2002, No. 06/677 of December 6, 2006, and No. 03/19 of January 16, 2003, issued by the Guarantee Commission, that essential public transportation services will be guaranteed during the designated service guarantee time slots (from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) in the manner determined by the company due to the lack of an agreement with the unions, with schedules indicated in the attached prospectus, along with union bulletins.
Service will resume as normal following the strike.
