We inform our passengers that, due to unforeseen operational requirements, effective from October 12, 2026, and until further notice, the following changes have been made to the railway schedule on the Matera Sud – Altamura line and to the Matera Sud – Venusio metropolitan service, as specified below.

1) RAILWAY SERVICE MATERA SUD – ALTAMURA LINE

Train no. 1 Altamura – Matera Sud at 6:21 AM and train no. 6 Matera Sud – Altamura at 5:42 AM are cancelled along the entire route and replaced by buses, which will make the following stops:

• MATERA Sud (departure and/or arrival terminus via della Quercia);
• Matera C.le (inbound and outbound stop in via A. Moro);
• Matera Villa Longo via Nazionale FAL station square;
• Matera Serra Rifusa FAL station forecourt;
• Altamura (arrival and/or departure terminus FAL station forecourt).

For the Altamura – Matera Sud journey, the reverse route will be followed.

Please note that the schedule for replacement train no. 6 has been brought forward by 5 minutes, from 5:42 AM to 5:37 AM, as indicated below:

• Matera Sud (via della Quercia) departure at 5:37 AM
• Matera C.le (via A. Moro) at 5:40 AM
• Matera Villa Longo (via Nazionale, FAL station forecourt) at 5:45 AM
• Matera Serra Rifusa (FAL station forecourt) at 5:47 AM
• Altamura (FAL station forecourt) arrival at 6:06 AM

2) METROPOLITAN SERVICE MATERA SUD – VENUSIO LINE

Train no. 402 Matera Sud – Venusio at 6:35 AM and Train no. 403 Venusio – Matera Sud at 7:00 AM, cancelled along the entire route.

Train no. 401 – departure time postponed by 15 minutes from 6:00 AM to 6:15 AM as indicated below:

• Venusio departure at 6:15 AM
• Matera Serra Rifusa at 6:22 AM
• Matera Villa Longo at 6:27 AM
• Matera C.le at 6:32 AM
• Matera Sud arrival at 6:34 AM

Please be reminded that on buses only folding bicycles are permitted, provided they are contained in the appropriate bag and their dimensions do not exceed 70 x 50 x 30 cm.
