Bus Route Change in Matera

We inform our passengers that, on the occasion of the “Giro d’Italia Next Gen 2026,” the Municipality of Matera has ordered the closure of several city streets to vehicular traffic (via Nazionale, via Don Luigi Sturzo, via Dante, via Gravina, and adjacent side streets), on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM until the end of the event.

Therefore, all FAL bus services entering and leaving Matera will undergo the following route changes:

Services arriving from Montalbano J., Pisticci, Ferrandina, and Montescaglioso and heading to Matera will follow this route:

• Via Carlo Levi – via Timmari – via Annibale Maria di Francia – rotatoria del Pino – via Aldo Moro (Matera Centrale Station) – via Ugo la Malfa – via Dante A. – left turn onto via Olivetti – via La Martella – S.S.7 towards Bari – U-turn at the Serra Paducci junction – SS99 – Matera Villa Longo.;

Services departing from Matera towards Montalbano J., Pisticci, Ferrandina, and Montescaglioso will follow this route:

• Matera Villa Longo – S.S.7 – via La Martella – via Olivetti – via Dante, before resuming the standard route.
