The new Matera Centrale FAL station, designed by architect Stefano Boeri will be a public space usable by citizens and travellers with a large shelter lightened by changing lights outside. The intervention is realized in two phases and consists in the building renovation with functional upgrading of the station and relevant technological and railway material, and also in the realization of a new space of reception and services. On the attic of the covering of the present station a large opening will be realized to allow aeration and lightening.
