On Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Palazzo Malvinni-Malvezzi at Piazza Duomo, 14 in Matera, an event will be held to review the first six months since the launch of the bike-sharing service in Matera. The service was launched on December 20, 2024, by VAIMOO, based in Mola di Bari (part of Angel Holding) and already the operator of bike-sharing services in the municipalities of Potenza, Bari, Molfetta, Giovinazzo, Trani, Altamura, Gravina in Puglia, Asti, Pompeii, and several municipalities in the Circumvesuviana area, as well as in the provinces of Biella, Verbania, Chieti, and Teramo. The project was implemented in collaboration with the City of Matera and thanks to ministerial grants for the promotion of Sharing Mobility allocated, through the Basilicata Region, to Ferrovie Appulo Lucane which, in turn, entrusted the management to VAIMOO through a public notice. The service includes a fleet of 85 e-bikes distributed across 22 stations in the City of Stones. Participants will include the Mayor of Matera, Antonio Nicoletti; the President of the Province of Matera, Francesco Mancini; the Director General of APT Basilicata, Margherita Sarli; the President of Ferrovie Appulo Lucane, Vittorio Zizza; the Director General of FAL, Stefano Di Bello; the CEO and Founder of VAIMOO, Matteo Pertosa; and the Vice President and Regional Minister for Transport of the Basilicata Region, Pasquale Pepe.
