USB Strike in Puglia and Basilicata on November 28, 2025

PURSUANT TO ART. 9 OF THE PROVISIONAL REGULATION ADOPTED WITH RESOLUTIONOF APRIL 23, 2018 NO. 18/138 OF THE GUARANTEE COMMISSIONWe inform interested users that for Friday, NOVEMBER 28, 2025, the Trade Unions Unione Sindacale Di Base (USB) of PUGLIA and BASILICATA have announced their participation in the
General strike lasting 24 (twenty-four) hours, for the entire working day for all public and private categories proclaimed by the same trade union organization on October 23, 2025.
This strike has been called for the following reasons:
– “Against the war budget, RE-ARM EU plan, the unavailability of the European Union and the Italian Government to impose sanctions adequate to the gravity of the situation and to interrupt all institutional, economic, scientific and political relations with the state of Israel, the attempt to convert industry and strategic infrastructure for military purposes, against the loading, unloading and transport of armaments in transport infrastructure; the use of public and private research in projects directed toward military purposes; the authoritarian choice regarding repressive laws and forms of opposition to dissent and social conflict”
– “For a peace policy, for disarmament and in support of the demands of the Palestinian people, wages that have as a minimum starting base 2,000 euros to be reparametrized on every salary level and contractual institute; the reintroduction of automatism for inflation recovery, the abolition of the IPCA parameter for contract renewal with introduction of the FOI index, reduction of working hours with equal pay; safe work, permanent employment; increase of minimum pensions, abolition of the contributory system and return to 62 years for retirement age; a new IRI, one million hires in public administration; universal public and free healthcare, a new public and state school free from all military logic; the right to housing, new model of grassroots representation to strengthen bargaining, abolition of law 146/90, elimination of the system of”
contracts; recognition of conscientious objection in the direct and indirect chain of production and transport of weapons”
We inform that the data relating to the participation percentages recorded by the above-mentioned Trade Union in the last strike are:
• Puglia 7.20% – Basilicata 2.25%
All services will be ensured during the guarantee periods, namely from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM and from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, whose schedules are indicated in the attached schedule, together with the union bulletins.
At the end of the strike, service will resume regularly.
