USB Puglia and Basilicata 24-Hour Strike on September 22, 2025

PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 9 OF THE PROVISIONAL REGULATION ADOPTED WITH RESOLUTION NO. 18/138 OF APRIL 23, 2018 BY THE GUARANTEE COMMISSION

We inform interested users that for Monday September 22, 2025 the Trade Unions Unione Sindacale Di Base (USB) of PUGLIA and BASILICATA have announced their participation in the general strike lasting 24 (twenty-four) hours, for the entire working day for all public and private categories proclaimed by the same trade union on September 11, 2025.

Said strike has been called:

• “Given the worsening of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, subject to a real genocide by the State of Israel and the continuous theft of Palestinian territory in order to annex the West Bank;
• Given the total blockade by the Israeli army of humanitarian arrivals to the exhausted population that has already created numerous cases of deaths from hunger, in addition to tens of thousands of deaths, including children, women, journalists, healthcare workers;
• Given the serious threats of attack by the Israeli Government against the ships of the worldwide humanitarian mission “Global Sumud Flotilla”, which has on board Italian citizens, workers and trade unionists, to prevent, even with weapons, the arrival of food supplies, basic necessities to Palestinian citizens of the Gaza Strip, thus prefiguring a real act of war also against Italian citizens;
• Given the concrete risk of attack by Israeli armed forces on the Flotilla ships, a risk supported by two drone attacks on ships moored off Tunisia in recent days;
• Given the inaction of the Italian Government and the European Union in rejecting the serious statements by Israeli ministers who equate the GSF crews to terrorists;
• Given the unavailability of the European Union and the Italian Government to impose sanctions adequate to the gravity of the situation and to interrupt all institutional relations and economic, scientific and political collaboration with the state

of Israel;”

We inform that the data relating to the participation percentages recorded by the above-mentioned Trade Union in the last strike are:

• Puglia 5.54% – Basilicata 3.14%

All services will be guaranteed during the guarantee periods, namely from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM and from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, whose schedules are indicated in the attached schedule, together with the union bulletins.

At the end of the strike, service will resume regularly.
