Rail traffic disruption between Avigliano City and Gallitello Terminal

Passengers are hereby informed that, until further notice, due to the suspension of railway traffic on the RFI section between Avigliano Lucania and Potenza S. Maria, as ordered by RFI, all FAL trains between Avigliano Città and Terminal Gallitello and vice versa are cancelled.

A special replacement bus service will operate between Avigliano Città and Terminal Gallitello. However, owing to the incompatibility of the road and rail routes, this service will not call at Tiera, Avigliano Lucania or Moccaro.

• Passengers travelling to or from Tiera should use the Potenza – Genzano buses, which will continue to serve Tiera.
• Passengers to or from Moccaro may use the Avigliano – Potenza bus services, which will run along the SP-5 and serve the scheduled stops.

Furthermore, following an agreement with Avigliano’s municipal administration, from Monday 25 August a dedicated shuttle bus service will be introduced to connect Avigliano Città, Moccaro, Avigliano Scalo and Tiera, with guaranteed connections to the replacement services between Avigliano Città and Potenza, and to the Potenza – Genzano – Gravina services.

Additional services will operate as follows:

• From Avigliano Lucania to Potenza, a bus will depart at 07:30.
• From Potenza Inf. Scalo to Avigliano Lucania, a bus will depart at 13:02, stopping at Tiera at 13:35 and arriving in Avigliano Lucania at 13:45.

Train services will continue to operate as scheduled on the Potenza S. Maria – Terminal Gallitello urban section.

Timetables for the replacement services are posted at stations and bus stops.

Further information may be obtained at Avigliano Città station, where FAL staff will be on duty for the occasion, and at the Potenza stations.
