{"id":8446,"date":"2013-03-13T18:50:47","date_gmt":"2013-03-13T17:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ferrovieappulolucane.it\/?page_id=8446"},"modified":"2018-09-11T14:15:40","modified_gmt":"2018-09-11T12:15:40","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ferrovieappulolucane.it\/en\/the-railways\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"Who&#8217;s who"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Ferrovie Appulo-Lucane S.r.l.<\/strong>\u00a0is born as autonomous company on January 1<sup>st <\/sup>2001.<\/p>\n<p>FAL is an S.r.l. 100% subsidiary of the Ministry of Transports.<\/p>\n<p>The railway network of <strong>Ferrovie Appulo Lucane<\/strong>, at simple track and at <strong>reduced gauge<\/strong>\u00a0(0.950 metres), stretches for a total of 183 km along two directions, involving <strong>Apulia <\/strong>and <strong>Basilicata<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bari \u2013 Altamura \u2013 Matera<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Potenza \u2013 Avigliano \u2013 Altamura \u2013 Bari<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the cities of <strong>Bari<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Matera<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Potenza<\/strong>, centrality of the track and the several stops will allow to satisfy the urban \/ suburban mobility.<\/p>\n<p>The car network of <strong>Ferrovie Appulo Lucane<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 stretching from more than 1000 km, integrates and completes the railway network to supply a more detailed service to citizens:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>north-west of Bari, on a parallel itinerary on the railway line, along the directions Bari-Altamura-Matera and Bari-Altamura-Gravina crossing the hilly strip of Murgia;<\/li>\n<li>south-west of Matera, in Valbasento, along the direction Matera-Pisticci- Montalbano (area before Metaponto);<\/li>\n<li>south-west and north-west of Potenza, where the road itineraries run almost in parallel with torrents Tiera, Anzi and Rifreddo, tributary of the river Basento;<\/li>\n<li>south and south-west of Lagonedro along the valley line of Noce towards the Tyrrhenian coast and in the heart of the Parco Nazionale del Pollino;<\/li>\n<li>north of Val d\u2019Agri with a line connecting the districts of Atena (Salerno) and Villa d\u2019Agri of Marsicovetere (Potenza).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Moreover, it is in phase of realization the new line\u00a0<strong>Bari-Bitritto<\/strong>, 11 km long: it is included into a project of\u00a0<strong>metropolitan lines<\/strong> involving other Transport Companies operating in the Apulian capital.
